The AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course is designed for perinatal clinicians who have completed intermediate-level fetal monitoring training or hold certifications in fetal heart monitoring. This course builds on foundational knowledge and focuses on the analysis of complex maternal-fetal physiology and fetal heart rate tracings using a case study approach. Key topics include: Physiology of fetal-maternal oxygenation Interpretation of fetal heart rate tracings Selection of clinical interventions Perinatal risk management principles The course is typically a one-day, instructor-led session and offers continuing education credits. 8-hour class.
